Webinar recap: The Hybrid Engagement Model for Medical Affairs

Within3 experts share what engagement practices medical affairs teams will carry forward post-pandemic.

Before COVID-19 lockdowns, medical affairs teams had a choice of virtual events or in-person meetings. Now, new ways of working enable a more effective hybrid approach – one that leverages an asynchronous platform along with live virtual or face-to-face events to get more insights that inform strategy.

Recently, Mike Abbadessa, Executive Director of Medical Affairs at Within3, and a panel of experts led workshops across the US and the EU. They discussed how the hybrid engagement model provides the most effective platform for relevant stakeholders.
Along with Abbadessa, panelists for the workshops were:

  • Natalie DiMambro – Vice President of Learning and Development, Within3
  • Peter Newton – Senior Director, Client Success, Within 3
  • Nicola Emery – Digital Marketing Manager, Within3

During the early days of the pandemic, medical affairs teams found that hybrid engagement promoted inclusivity, diversity, sustainability, global connectivity, and a better work-life balance. Ultimately, these tools create a platform where everyone’s voice is heard.

In the workshop, discussions focused on lessons learned by adopting hybrid platforms and the best ways to implement them. Discussion of how to transform different engagement types took place in group breakout rooms, and the webinar concluded with a  final summary session.
